2012 Comet Yearbook School Portrait Information

Grades 9-11 and Faculty Yearbook and School ID photos:

Tuesday and Wednesday, August 30-31 in the PAC during English classes. Makeup photos are scheduled for Tuesday, October 4.

Senior Yearbook Portraits:

Senior Portraits by Photo Texas Photography for the 2012 Comet Yearbook can be taken at Austin High in the PAC or at the Photo Texas studio by appointment. Only senior portraits by Photo Texas Photography will be used in the yearbook.

The in school yearbook only sitting is free.

In School Photo Schedule

• Session 1 is Thursday and Friday, September 29-30 in room #335, the yearbook office at Austin High. Signup sheets will be posted in Room #335. View the current appointment schedule HERE. Please email SFAComet.org@gmail.com to request an appointment on September 29 (B DAY) or September 30 (A DAY). Specify the senior's name and the available time. We will add them to the calendar.

• Session 2 is Wednesday through Friday, November 16-18 in room #335, the yearbook office at Austin High. Signup sheets will be posted in Room #335.

Studio Photo Schedule
Please call Photo Texas Photography at 512-617-7780 for an appointment between now and the middle of November. All sittings must be completed and yearbook portraits sent to us by November 30 to be included in the 2012 Comet. That is our final deadline for senior portraits.

In School Sitting Options

• The yearbook pose only sitting is free. It includes 2 - 5 proofs. Dress is dress casual and black or a dark color is preferred. Photo Texas brings some shirts and dress up clothes for sitters to wear.
• A $20 in school sitting with 5 - 8 proofs is available which includes additional poses in cap and gown, drapes and tuxedo. You can bring your own formal wear or wear garments provided by Photo Texas for the sitting.

Studio Options

• The yearbook pose only option is $15 at the studio and includes 2 - 5 proofs.
• The $20 sittings is the same as in school. It provides 5 - 8 proofs and includes cap and gown, drapes and tuxedo.
• A $40 option is available at the studio with 12 - 15 proofs. It includes cap and gown, drapes, tuxedo and up to two of your favorite outfits in indoor and outdoor settings.
• A $60 option at the studio with 17 to 20 proofs includes all of the above plus a third favorite outfit and a free second session that could be used later for family portraits or with friends.
  

Viewing and Ordering

Photo Texas will email a link to their website where portrait proofs can be viewed. Students can pick which portrait will be used in the yearbook online. Packages can also be ordered online. If no email is available, Photo Texas will mail proofs and an order form. All prints orders will be delivered by mail to the purchaser. Photo Texas will deliver portraits to be used in the yearbook directly to the yearbook office.
